We’ve all been there—those moments when emotions take over, and we’re left feeling like we’re on a rollercoaster of feelings. It could happen while you're curled up on the couch watching the season finale of The Bachelor, or even in a restaurant when the waiter delivers the dreaded news that they're out of your favorite dish, the one you came there specifically for. You know, the dish that made you book the table in the first place.
For Jennifer Garner, an actress best known for her role in Alias, her emotional rollercoaster happened in the front seat of a car after a dental surgery. She was high on a mix of anesthesia and painkillers, and deeply moved by the Broadway hit Hamilton. It’s moments like these that remind us, even celebrities have their own emotional moments.

Thankfully, Jennifer Garner’s emotional journey didn’t go unnoticed. The 45-year-old Hollywood star captured the moment on video and shared it with her followers on Instagram. With a caption that reads, “Throwback Thursday — That time I had dental anesthesia… laughing gas + novocaine + Hamilton = you’re welcome,” Garner gave her fans an inside look into her emotional state after the surgery.
The video, which has garnered quite a bit of attention, shows Jennifer sitting in the passenger seat of a car, her speech slightly slurred. In her half-laughing, half-crying state, she decided to phone a friend to recount the overwhelming emotions she felt while at the dentist. It all started when a song from the Hamilton soundtrack played during her procedure. Garner was moved beyond belief and couldn’t contain her feelings.
“They played the sad part of Hamilton… I started crying, I couldn’t stop. They asked if I was okay, and all I could say was, it’s so beautiful… it’s so beautiful,” Garner said, her voice filled with laughter and tears. “Listen to the song. It was so beautiful, that music was so pretty. And so I told them about it, they have to see it.”
