Hey there! Did you know that Drew and Jonathan Scott, the famous Property Brothers, are not just experts at flipping houses but also have a knack for singing? Sure, we all adore them for their HGTV home improvement reality TV series, but these talented twins have another secret skill up their sleeves: making music. Let’s dive into their unexpected journey as country music artists.
Before they became household names in the world of home renovation, Drew and Jonathan Scott were just two brothers growing up on a ranch in Alberta, Canada. They spent countless afternoons strumming guitars by the campfire, singing along with their parents. This love for music stayed with them even as they pursued their careers in television.
In 2015, during a special episode titled Property Brothers at Home on the Ranch, HGTV cameras followed the twins back to their roots in the Canadian Rockies. While renovating a friend’s property, they revisited their musical roots and decided it was time to share their passion with the world. That’s how The Scott Brothers, their country music duo, was born.

During the filming of this special, the brothers had a chance encounter with a producer and a Nashville-based singer-songwriter. Inspired by their conversation, Drew and Jonathan decided to pen a song that paid homage to their childhood home. The result? A heartfelt country tune called "Hold On." Drew even played the guitar for the track, and both brothers lent their voices to the recording.
For their second single, the twins wanted to try something a little more upbeat. Enter "Let the Night Shine In," a lively party anthem that showcases their versatility as musicians. Both songs are now available for download on iTunes, and the music videos can be found on The Scott Brothers’ YouTube channel. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you’re in for a treat!
Fast forward to early 2017, and The Scott Brothers were ready to release another track. This time, they opted for a cover of Flo Rida’s 2016 hit "My House," giving it a country-fied makeover with the help of country singer Eric Paslay. Even though it wasn’t an original composition, the brothers revealed that fans could expect more original music in the future.
In fact, Drew and Jonathan shared their excitement about collaborating with other artists during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "We’re filming Property Brothers in Nashville for the next five months," they said. "So, we’ll definitely be working with some incredible artists and writing new songs. Stay tuned!"
