It’s been over a decade since Sarah Ferguson parted ways with Prince Andrew, and many are curious about what the Duchess of York has been doing since then. At 58 years old, Sarah has stepped away from the spotlight in some ways, but she’s far from slowing down. Instead, she's embraced a simpler life filled with meaningful work. Running multiple businesses and actively participating in numerous charity events, Sarah continues to make a difference in her own unique way.
One of the most exciting moments in Sarah’s recent life was celebrating her daughter Princess Eugenie's engagement. With heartfelt enthusiasm, Sarah took to Twitter to express her delight. “A total embrace of goodness and joy,” she tweeted on January 22, 2018, after the announcement of Eugenie’s engagement to Jack Brooksbank. “We love Jack and I am so excited to have a son, a brother, and a best friend. Eugenie is one of the finest people I know and so together it will be pure harmony.”
Sarah didn’t stop there. She shared a series of photos on Twitter of the happy couple, pairing them with uplifting quotes, showcasing her pride and joy in this new chapter of her family’s life.

According to the Daily Mail, Sarah has been busy establishing various ventures under different names. In April 2015, she set up Strawbugs Ltd, a children’s entertainment company, using the pseudonym Margaret York—her middle name. A year earlier, in October 2014, she founded La Luna Investments Ltd, a business support service. Additionally, she serves as the director of Ginger & Moss, a company that specializes in selling flavored teas. These ventures reflect her entrepreneurial spirit and her desire to create something meaningful outside the royal spotlight.

Despite their divorce years ago, Sarah and Prince Andrew, now 57, allegedly maintain a close relationship. They reportedly still live together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. In fact, in 2016, the couple purchased a nearly $17 million ski lodge in Switzerland. Married from 1986 to 1996, they remain parents to their two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie.

In an intriguing interview in October 2016, Sarah revealed that she and Andrew are somewhat of an item. “We’re divorced to each other right now [but] we’ve never really left each other,” she said. When directly asked if they were still together, Sarah simply replied, “Yes.” This unique post-divorce relationship highlights the complexity and depth of their bond.
Sarah has also captured public attention with her dramatic 55-pound weight loss. Speaking with Matt Lauer on the Today show in 2015, she opened up about her struggles. “I got to a point where I just couldn’t bear looking at myself any minute longer,” she confessed. “I was 190 pounds a year ago and I was miserable. You look at the top of the mountain, you think you’re never going to get there.”
She went on to explain her relationship with food. “Had I not chosen food as my friend, I would have chosen something else. A lot of people turn to shopping, alcohol, smoking, any other addiction,” she said. “My addiction was food. I used it to suppress my feelings, and every time I went through something—whether it was a salacious lie the media might tell about me—I ate to compensate.”
