Vanessa had to deal with a touch of food poisoning, which meant her character, Renee, needed some special effects makeup to make her nose look bumpy and red. "It was one of those days where you're playing a character who has no idea what's going on, and everyone around you is reacting," said the 55-year-old, who was busy teaming up with WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease and Burlington stores for their #KnockOutHeartDisease campaign at the time. "We had to use prosthetics, and it was so much fun to be goofy. It was a blast, honestly!"

The unforgettable party scene

But let's not forget the legendary party scene. Vanessa reminisced about a memorable episode where there was a traveling party. Appetizers at one house, entrees at another—it was a night of fun and laughter. However, things took an unexpected turn when Renee got a little too tipsy and started singing, but not very well. "Oh, it was hilarious," Vanessa recalled with a laugh. "There were so many great episodes, but that one really stood out."

Staying connected with the Wisteria Lane ladies

Back in June, Vanessa opened up to Closer about which of her "Desperate Housewives" co-stars she's still in touch with today. "I sang at Eva Longoria's wedding back in May 2016. I saw Felicity Huffman at the Emmys a couple of years ago," she revealed at VH1’s Daytime Divas premiere. "And Teri Hatcher even came to my wedding! The only one I haven't seen recently is Marcia Cross." It's amazing to see how the bonds formed on Wisteria Lane have lasted well beyond the show's finale.

The possibility of a reunion

We can't help but smile when we hear how intertwined the Wisteria Lane ladies still are. Eva recently told Closer that she and Felicity are neighbors in real life. "We see each other all the time," the soon-to-be mom gushed. Both Vanessa and Eva have expressed their excitement about the possibility of a "Desperate Housewives" reunion one day.
