Alright, folks, gather 'round because we’ve got a royal mix-up on our hands! The world is buzzing about royal babies, but it seems someone got their duchesses crossed. According to a now-deleted tweet from UK publication The Metro, there was a major slip-up. They mistakenly announced that Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall, was expecting a baby. Yikes! Let’s clear the air: Camilla, who is 70 years old, is not pregnant. Instead, it’s Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, who is indeed expecting her third child. The Metro's tweet read, “The Duchess of Cornwall is due to give birth to her third child next month,” which was, well, awkwardly incorrect. The tweet was quickly deleted, but not before it sparked quite the reaction online.
Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, wasted no time in addressing the blunder. Tom, 43, took to Twitter to respond with a lighthearted quip: “Dear God. Really?” British comedian Dom Joly joined in the fun, tweeting, “Congratulations on your impending sibling. Must have been a surprise.” Tom replied with a laugh, “You’re not wrong.” It’s clear that the family is taking it all in stride, but Tom’s response highlighted the humor in the situation. He joked further, “Better start finding excuses not to babysit now, Tom,” to which fans chimed in with their own playful remarks. Tom, who starred on the British cooking series The Hot Plate, added, “I’m the last to know.” Clearly, the family has a great sense of humor about the whole ordeal.
For those who may not know, Duchess Camilla is the proud mother of two children from her first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles. Her son, Tom Parker Bowles, and her daughter, Laura Lopes, have always been a significant part of her life. While the family is certainly not expecting any new additions, they continue to be a close-knit unit. Tom’s quick wit on Twitter shows just how much the family values humor, even in the face of mistaken headlines.

On the other hand, Kate Middleton is preparing for her third child, and her final public appearances are fast approaching. This means that soon, she’ll be stepping back from her royal duties to focus on her growing family. Her last public event is expected to be on Commonwealth Day, where she’ll join key members of the royal family at London’s Westminster Abbey on Monday, March 12. After that, Kate will be on maternity leave, getting ready to welcome her newest addition—a younger sibling for Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2. The anticipation is building, and fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this new royal baby.
