Eva Longoria Opens Up About Pregnancy, Family Life, And Embracing Age

Some women truly have all the luck, and Eva Longoria seems to be one of them. In an exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, the stunning actress revealed how her husband, Mexican media mogul José Antonio Bastón, has been nothing short of a dream. "My husband spoils me all the time. Even before I was pregnant, he'd always give me foot rubs," Eva gushed, speaking about the man she married in 2016. Now that they're expecting their first child together this spring, José has taken his pampering game to a whole new level. "He just lets me sleep and eat," Eva said with a laugh, highlighting how her partner makes sure she gets the rest she needs during this special time.

Life in the Second Trimester: A Golden Time for Eva

At 43, Eva Longoria is juggling motherhood and her flourishing career with grace. The busy actress is incredibly thankful for the little moments of rest these days. She recently launched the spring line of her Eva Longoria fashion collection on HSN and is executive producing Grand Hotel, a new pilot for ABC. Eva shared, "I’m in my second trimester, so it’s like the golden months of energy, glow, and all that." Even though she’s in the midst of this exciting phase of her pregnancy, she knows there's still much to accomplish. From coordinating a move into her new home to stocking up on baby clothes and gear for the nursery, Eva is making the most of her golden months.

Preparing for Motherhood: A Blessing in Every Way

Eva shared her excitement about the upcoming months with enthusiasm, saying, "At the end of March, I can start focusing on getting things ready." Her joy is palpable as she discusses her growing family. "I’m very happy, and I’m very healthy. It’s a blessing!" she exclaimed. While this will be Eva’s first child, José, 49, already has three children from a previous marriage: Natalia, 22, and twins Mariana and José Antonio, both 14. "I’m so lucky I have three beautiful stepchildren," Eva said. "Having them in my life has definitely prepared me for becoming a mom." Eva sees her age as an advantage in this journey, insisting that "For me, age is equivalent to wisdom." She embraces every year with open arms, knowing she gets better and wiser with time. "Aging doesn’t just mean wrinkles — it has more to do with what I’ve accomplished and what more I need to do," she reflected.

Post-Baby Goals: Fitting Into Jeans Again

When asked about her post-baby goals, Eva joked about her current relationship with denim. "I can’t even think of wearing jeans right now," she laughed. "The thought of it suffocates me and my stomach!" Despite the challenges of pregnancy, Eva approaches it all with humor and grace, proving that she's ready to take on motherhood with the same energy she brings to her career.
