In fact, the pandemic gave them a chance to strengthen their bond when they hunkered down together in Connecticut.

“We spent more time together this year than in the previous 15 years combined,” Robin told People in April 2021. “We’ve never been stronger! I remember packing up part of my dressing room here [in New York City] and heading home to Connecticut a year ago when the pandemic hit. I’m glad I packed a lot of patience.”

The Journey to Love

Robin and Amber’s love story began back in 2005 when they were set up on a blind date. For years, they kept their relationship private, but in 2013, Robin made headlines when she came out as a lesbian in a Facebook post. Since then, the couple has been an inspiring example of love and resilience.

Through Thick and Thin

Over the years, Robin and Amber have supported each other through some tough times. In February 2022, Robin shared an emotional Instagram video revealing that Amber had been diagnosed with breast cancer. And their engagement? Well, it wasn’t your typical proposal. Robin revealed that they celebrated their decision to marry in their favorite Mexican spot, putting calamari rings on each other and saying, “Let’s go. Let’s do it.”
