Hey there, royal watchers! Let’s talk about a truly special moment in the life of one little prince. Today marks Prince George’s official first day at school at Thomas’s Battersea in London, and it was nothing short of adorable. The four-year-old royal arrived bright and early this morning, hand-in-hand with his proud dad, Prince William, and his new teacher, Helen Haslem. George, who looked a tad nervous but absolutely ready for this big step, was greeted warmly by Helen, the Head of Lower School.
Now, let’s talk about Helen’s outfit because it was practically a fashion moment in itself. She was dressed in a chic dusty pink "Amana" dress by LK Bennett, a brand that happens to be one of Kate Middleton’s favorites. Paired with a pair of nude flats, Helen’s look was polished and put-together. As she extended her hand to George, royal fans couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance between her ensemble and a pale pink Alexander McQueen frock that Kate wore during her tour of Australia back in 2014. It’s like Helen was channeling the Duchess’ signature style on this memorable day.

Unfortunately, the Duchess of Cambridge, who recently announced her third pregnancy, wasn’t able to join George on this milestone morning. Kate, who is battling hyperemesis gravidarum—a severe form of morning sickness—was too unwell to make the trip. This condition also affected her during her pregnancies with George and Princess Charlotte. It’s tough being a royal mom-to-be, isn’t it?
Kensington Palace confirmed the details via Twitter on Thursday, Sept. 7: “Prince George will this morning attend his first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea, accompanied by his father, The Duke of Cambridge.” A royal insider later shared with the Daily Mail, “The Duchess wanted more than anything to be there. It’s a big day for her son. But she has been really very sick this week.”
In a candid moment earlier this week, Prince William hinted at Kate’s due date for their third child, which seems to be around March 2018. Speaking openly, he said, “There’s not much sleep going on at the moment. We need Kate to get over this first bit and then we can start celebrating. It’s always a bit anxious to start with, but she’s well.” William’s comments suggest that Kate is approximately 11 weeks along, aligning with the typical 12-week mark when many women choose to announce their pregnancies.
