They went on to express their excitement for the couple’s future together, wishing them a lifetime of happiness.

How Harry Popped the Question

Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan Markle, 36, became engaged during a cozy evening at their Nottingham Cottage home on the grounds of Kensington Palace. In an interview with BBC News broadcaster Mishal Husain, Harry recounted the intimate moment. “It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month, here at our cottage. It was just a standard, typical night for us. We were trying to roast a chicken,” Harry recalled with a laugh. When asked about the proposal itself, Harry admitted, “She didn’t even let me finish. She said, ‘Can I say yes, can I say yes?’ There were hugs, and I had the ring in my finger. I was like, can I—can I give you the ring? She goes—oh yes, the ring. It was a really nice moment, it was just the two of us, and I think I managed to catch her by surprise as well.” Meghan chimed in, describing the moment as “so sweet, natural, and very romantic.”
