Alec And Hilaria Baldwin Are Considering Baby No. 5: Here's What They're Saying

Hey there, friends! It’s been just a few days since Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin shared the exciting news that they’re expecting their fourth child together. But guess what? The couple is already tossing around the idea of expanding their family even further. Could baby No. 5 be on the horizon? Hilaria revealed in a recent interview that their eldest child, four-year-old daughter Carmen, is already campaigning for a little sister. So, naturally, the talk has shifted to whether another addition is in the cards.

Hilaria shared that Carmen was initially a bit let down when she learned the newest addition to the family would be another baby boy—making it their third son. "She was a little disappointed [that I’m expecting another boy]," Hilaria told People. Carmen had her own ideas, saying, "How about you have a girl first, then you can have another boy?" Hilaria laughed it off, explaining, "It doesn’t work that way! I don’t get to choose." The couple already has two other sons, Rafael, 3, and Leonardo, 1. Alec also has a 22-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his first marriage to Kim Basinger.

Hilaria revealed that Alec, 59, isn’t exactly shutting the door on the idea of more kids. “People are like, ‘Oh, they must be Catholic,’ or, ‘Oh, she must just want all of his money.’ I’m like, ‘If I wanted all of his money, why am I having so many children? Children are expensive!’” she joked. “Seeing how much my daughter would like to have a sister, do we try for that? I have no idea.” Hilaria admitted that her love for motherhood has been a driving factor behind their growing family. “I’ve had so many [kids] because I really like them, and we have such fun times. I’m going to have four kids in a little over four years, and it’s just one of those things where I’m going to let life lead me in that direction.”

The Excitement Surrounding Baby No. 4

Hilaria and Alec, who tied the knot in 2012, are currently focused on preparing for their fourth child. “We’re really excited… Before getting pregnant, we were like, ‘Oh, should we have another kid?’ We were like, ‘You know what? Let’s try something different—let’s try,’” Hilaria confessed. Unlike their previous pregnancies, this one was planned. “With the other ones, it’s not like we were like, ‘Oh my God, how did this happen?’ But this is the only one we [planned],” she said.

Carmen Can't Wait to Be a Big Sister Again

One thing is crystal clear—Carmen is over the moon about becoming a big sister for the third time. “She was like, ‘I can’t wait to tell everybody at school!’ We’re walking out the door, and she’s like, ‘There’s a baby in my mommy’s tummy!’ I’m like, ‘Stop it! Not yet! We’re not telling yet!’” Hilaria joked. “That’s the reason I didn’t tell her before, because everybody would have known!” The family is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their newest addition this spring.
