Political Instability Rooted in Feb 8 Elections, Says JUI-F
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has pointed to the February 8 elections as a central cause of the current political instability in Pakistan. Party leaders assert that the elections were marred by alleged irregularities, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among opposition parties and the public. They argue that the lack of transparency and fairness in the electoral process has deepened political divisions, fostering a climate of distrust that now permeates both political and social spheres.
Addressing the media, JUI-F representatives stated that the alleged manipulation of electoral results not only disenfranchised voters but also eroded public confidence in the democratic process. This mistrust, they claim, has fueled the wave of protests, political unrest, and escalating tensions seen across the country. The party emphasized that such events threaten the democratic fabric of Pakistan, requiring immediate corrective measures.
The JUI-F has called for a bipartisan dialogue to discuss and implement electoral reforms aimed at ensuring free and fair elections in the future. They stressed the importance of accountability for those responsible for the alleged irregularities, stating that without addressing these concerns, the nation risks further destabilization. Moreover, the party urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to play a proactive role in investigating allegations and reinforcing its credibility.
In its statement, JUI-F also appealed to the government to prioritize national reconciliation by engaging with all political factions to find a way out of the ongoing crisis. The party reaffirmed its commitment to upholding democratic norms and ensuring that the voices of the people are heard and respected in Pakistan’s political system.

Court Issues Arrest Warrants for Bushra Bibi in Toshakhana Case
In a significant development, a court has issued arrest warrants for Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in connection with the ongoing Toshakhana case. The court took this step after Bushra Bibi repeatedly failed to appear for scheduled hearings, despite multiple summonses.
The Toshakhana case involves allegations that the former first lady unlawfully retained valuable gifts from foreign dignitaries without declaring them, a violation of government protocols. The court had earlier instructed Bushra Bibi to present herself for questioning, but her continued absence led to the issuance of arrest warrants.
Legal experts suggest that this action could further escalate the legal challenges facing the former ruling family. The arrest warrants have been issued in the context of mounting pressure on Imran Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), as multiple members face legal scrutiny over corruption and other charges. The case remains a focal point in the political landscape, with critics accusing the government of political vendettas.

Rana Sanaullah Claims PTI Will Not Be Able to Organize Another Protest in Capital
Rana Sanaullah, the Interior Minister of Pakistan, has stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will not be able to organize another protest in Islamabad. He emphasized that the government is fully prepared to prevent any such attempts, citing strict measures to maintain order and ensure that public safety is not compromised.
The statement comes in the wake of recent political unrest and protests staged by PTI, which have significantly disrupted the capital. Sanaullah assured that the government would take all necessary steps to ensure peace, signaling a firm stance against any future protests by PTI in Islamabad.
PTI leaders, on the other hand, have rejected these claims, accusing the government of attempting to stifle democratic rights and suppressing peaceful protests. The situation has raised tensions in the political landscape, with both sides gearing up for a potentially contentious showdown.
