“Maulana Fazlur Rehman Travels to London for 11 Days”
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) party, departed for London on November 7, 2024, for an 11-day visit. During his stay, he is expected to hold various meetings, including discussions with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif.
This visit follows a series of political developments in Pakistan. Earlier this year, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proposed forming a committee to resolve political issues during a meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Additionally, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been vocal against alleged electoral fraud in the general elections and has encouraged an environment for talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
The JUI-F chief’s visit to London is seen as part of ongoing efforts to engage with political allies and discuss strategies to address the current political climate in Pakistan.
